Interaction Information:

Comment Since mechanical stimulation activates in osteoblasts the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway, the effects of serotonin (5-HT) on various elements of Wnt/beta-catenin pathway were examined. Beta-catenin protein was significantly increased 30 min after 5-HT exposure. 5-HT induced a significant increase in GSK-3beta phosphorylation compared to total GSK3-beta, indicating that 5-HT modulates beta-catenin protein levels by inhibiting GSK-3beta activation.
