Polycystin-2, a gene product associated with autosomal dominant polycystic disease, has been well-documented to localize at the primary cilium of renal cultured cell lines and tissues. PKHD1 was colocalized with polycystin-2 at the basal bodies / primary cilia in MDCK cells.
